Summary: Refurb 4250 a great deal
Comment: Originally ordered new for $200 from Amazon, but then saw the refurb version for only $120. Ended up returning the new one. The box was clearly labeled refurbished, but everything looked new - no scratches and all components present. Upgraded the firmware with no issue and have used it a few times now. Haven't used the traffic feature (no need). Did use it on a trip to the mountains through some pretty narrow canyons - tracked very precisely. Has limited functionality with my phone, but I could make a call through it. Main limitation is a shorter 90 day warranty, but overall a great deal.

Summary: Ok GPS...Not Great
Comment: Pros: I love the large screen. I also like that it has many different ways to search for places you are looking for like airports, movie theatres, etc. One of the neat features of this product is that it responds to voice commands.

Cons: The maps on this model are VERY out of date. The first two times I used this GPS, it sent me to places that haven't existed for more than three years, so the maps are at least that far out-of-date. If I had known that, I probably wouldn't have bought this unit. It seems a bit ridiculous to me to pay $200 for a GPS and immediately have to pay $70 for updated maps. Also, every once in a while, the unit just doesn't announce a turn. It'll show it on the map, but the voice doesn't say it out loud.

Conclusion: Personally, I was disappointed and wouldn't recommend this model since the maps are so out-of-date. Even though it has some neat features, the whole point of the darn thing is to get you where you want to go. Without updated maps, that often doesn't happen.

Summary: Great device
Comment: I bought this device for my parents. Easy to use for older people that have little experience with technology. Good interface. Extra features are great. Device is thin and looks great. Pretty good for carrying around. of course it doesn't fit in your pocket.

I havn't come upon the bugs that some people have reported. Device is great buy for $210. Would recommend it to others.

Summary: Could be better
Comment: Overall I'm satisfied with this GPS, though there is one thing I would change:

The power & antenna cables do not plug into the mounting bracket, they plug into the GPS directly. This means every time you remove the GPS or return it to the mounting bracket you have to also plug / unplug your cabling again.

Summary: 4250 Leads the Way
Comment: Pros: Device has a good look and feel(big screen but small depth). It has helped us find our way several times on our travels through the holidays. 4.3" screen makes the visual very easy to see and read road names. Most used items are selectable right from the main map screen or can be toggled through the choices. Very user friendly with all the functionality available at the main map screen. I bought this unit on Cyber Monday so it can at a very good price. I'd buy it again.

Cons: Sometimes it seems to take about 3-4 minutes for the unit to recognize where it is. It looks like it is connected with 3 satellites or more but the delay is there. It can be a little frustrating since you don't know if there is a problem with the address or if there is an issue with the GPS. This delay is not always seen. Bluetooth: nice feature but the speaker is on the back. When mounted on the dash or window, the speaker is facing the windshield. The audio is just not loud enough with the sound projected against the car windshield. It works great when holding the unit in my hand but then I may just use my phone. It may work better on cars where there isn't such a large distance from the seated position in the car and the windshield or if mounted closer on the dash.
