Summary: This is not what you think it is
Comment: How can you call this "Very Merry Christmas" and not have that song on here? Lynn Gibson must have imagined "From all of us to all of you" being on this DVD, or she didn't actually watch it before reviewing, because that song is not on the DVD. The description also makes it sound like it has the classic Disney Christmas cartoons on here, but in reality there are only short clips of the cartoons from Jiminy Cricket's Christmas special (apparently not available on DVD) set to newly-sung Christmas songs. This was a huge disappointment and definitely not what we were hoping for.

Summary: nostalgia
Comment: I used to watch this video when i was a kid. I bought it mostly for nostalgic reasons for my music class. I will be showing this to my young music students who have trouble singing on the beat without staring at the text. The disney pictures are lovely, and the singing on the video is pretty good. lots of children singing, which is always encouraging for the little ones. (they can do it too.) all in all, a good, safe buy for a young one.

Comment: Our son loves this DVD and has ever since the first time he viewed it. I love it too but more for the winter wonderland scenes in between the songs. It is a really beautiful and gets you in the holiday mood.

Comment: My 3, 5, & 7 year old love this DVD. We have been watching it every year since my oldest was a baby. It just doesn't feel like Christmas until we have watched this & we watch it from Thanksgiving until Christmas. This is a Christmas must have.

Comment: I completely agree that they really messed this one up. The original was charming and heart warming, but the new one is...well, a little creepy. I think the voiceover reminds me of The Nightmare Before Christmas, which is a great film, but not at all what this video was about. The new songs don't flow well, and the differences in animation are jarring at best. I really can't see why they changed it at all, except maybe to lengthen it. I just shelved my DVD and ordered another VHS to replace my old one. I don't think the DVD wil get pulled out anytime soon....
