Your monthly cost can be as low as $36.99, and go over $90 with the largest package - not including the fees for additional televisions. You may get as few as 60 channels (fewer may be possible, depending on location), or more than 190 channels of satellite television programming.
DirecTV offers a good range of packages so that you can order the channels you are most interested in watching.
HDTV and/or DVR services do cost extra, but are well worth the expense. HDTV quality is quite simply spectacular if your television is capable of displaying it, and there's just nothing like letting the DVR handle recording all your favorite shows, so you can watch when it's convenient.
DirecTV also offers satellite internet service, which is a wonderful add-on. Satellite internet is much better than dialup service. It's not quite as fast as DSL or cable internet, but the speed is excellent.
